Join Cultivate SciArt and College of Charleston Marine Biology Graduate Fellows for an evening of food, science, art, and community!
You’ll enjoy glimpses into the questions and problems these marine scientists are working on in the waterways right here in Charleston. And they look forward to answering your questions too. Local artist, Anna Chen, will guide us in a playful watercolor collage activity to express, and humble ourselves through crafting. While others will gravitate to the conversations, new friends, and breezy harbor views along the marsh or below the fans of SC-DNR’s lovely screened-in outdoor classroom.

Anna Chen, founder of the Charleston AAPI Collective and watercolor collage artist (Check her out on Instagram or via her website!), will lead a watercolor collage lesson. You’ll get to create your own seascape using painted watercolor paper and other mixed media materials. This activity is friendly for all ages!
Community partners Charleston Climate Coalition and Charleston Waterkeeper will also join us to share more about how to protect our local waterways.
